Rail Fastening Systems Supplier for the Shenshuo Railway
In 2025, Anyang Railway Equipment Co., Ltd. provided 107,800 sets of Rail Fastening Systems to the Shenshuo Line of the Baoshen Railway for the sleeper replacement project.
The Shuo Line (Shenshuo Railway) is China’s second major route for transporting coal from west to east. It connects Daliuta Town in Shenmu City, Shaanxi Province, with Shuozhou City in Shanxi Province, primarily responsible for transporting coal from the Shenfu Dongsheng Coalfield. The main line is 266 kilometers long, with a total investment of 2.3 billion Yuan. The line runs from Daliuta in Shenmu, Shaanxi Province in the west to Shuozhou, Shanxi Province in the east. It connects with the Baoshen Railway, Shenyan Railway, Beitongpu Railway, and Shuohuang Railway, forming a national Class I double-track, electrified, heavy-haul railway network. Its initial designed annual capacity was 25 million tons, which was increased to 140 million tons after the double-track reconstruction. In recent years, actual transportation volume has exceeded 200 million tons.
The Shenshuo Company of the Baoshen Railway is undertaking three projects, including the sleeper replacement project on the Shenshuo Line in 2024. These projects involve the replacement of sleepers on sections of the Shenshuo Line within the Shenshuo Railway Branch. Due to the Shenshuo Railway’s high-volume, high-axle-load, and high-density transportation model, various track equipment defects have rapidly emerged and developed. Sleeper cracks, rail groove collapse, and shoulder damage are among the main equipment defects. Some sections have reached severe damage standards, seriously endangering train safety and requiring urgent overhaul.
