In 2024, Anyang Railway Equipment Co., Ltd. provided Jitong Railway with 1,720 P50 joint bars, 5,160 sets of P50 track bolts, and 1,080 sets of P60 track bolts.
The Jining-Tongliao Railway is an important railway trunk line in Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region. It starts from Benhong Station of Ji-Er Railway in the west and connects to Tongliao North Station of Tonghuo Railway in the east. It passes through 4 leagues and cities in Inner Mongolia (Tongliao City, Chifeng City, Xilin Gol League, Ulanqab City) and 13 banners and counties (Khorqin District, Kailu County, Al Horqin Banner, Balin Left Banner, Balin Right Banner, Linxi County, Keshiketeng Banner, Zhenglan Banner, Zhengxiangbai Banner, Huaide County, Shangdu County, Chahar Right Wing Back Banner, Jining District). It is an important railway trunk line connecting Northeast China, North China and Northwest China, and an important energy channel for “Mongolian Coal Transport to the East”.

After the transformation, the “curves” of the railway line will be greatly reduced, the total length of the line will be shortened from the previous 943.31 km to 923.66 km, and the traction capacity of a single freight train will reach 5,000 tons.
By then, the average daily passenger trains on Jitong Railway will increase from 13 pairs to 30 pairs, the annual freight volume will increase from more than 36 million tons to more than 80 million tons, the speed of passenger trains will increase from 65 km/h to the maximum operating speed of 120 km/h, and the full running time will be shortened by about 6 hours.
On April 28, 2020, the electrification and capacity expansion transformation of Jitong Railway officially started, marking that this railway will bid farewell to the “internal combustion era” and usher in the electrification era.
