The Qingdao Metro Line 8 branch line project primarily serves Jiaozhou City, integrating Jiaozhou into Qingdao’s rail transit network, promoting its rapid integration and leading Jiaozhou’s rapid development.
The Qingdao Metro Line 8 branch line runs from Dajian Station, the connecting station to the Line 8 main branch line, in the east and ends at Jiaozhou Railway Station in the west. The line is 20.416 km long and is entirely underground.
The Qingdao Metro Line 8 branch line utilizes six-car B-type trains and catenary power supply. The target speed between Dajian Station and Dagu River Museum Station is 120 km/h, and the remaining sections are 100 km/h.
