Xiamen Metro Line 6 is a line under construction in Xiamen Metro. Among them, the section from Lindai West to Huaqiao University started construction on December 31, 2019 and is scheduled to be completed in 2023. The Jimei-Tong’an section will start construction on June 15, 2022.

Xiamen Metro Line 6 starts from Lindai West Station, connects to the Zhangzhou (Jiaomei) extension of Xiamen Metro Line 6, passes through Haicang District, Jimei District, and Tongan District, and runs through Maluan Bay Area, Xinglin Bay, Jimei Civic Center, Future Science and Technology City, Tong’an West Lake Area, and Tong’an Old Town stop at Tongxiang High-tech City Station, and generally run from southwest to northeast.

The length of Xiamen Metro Line 6 is about 49.8 kilometers, and the number of stations is 30, all of which are underground stations. One new section and one field will be newly built, and a fully automatic operation system will be adopted. In the early and near term, B-type cars will be used in 4-section marshalling, and in the long-term, B-type cars will be used. The car is composed of 6 cars, with a maximum operating speed of 100 km/h.

As the linking structure construction and electromechanical construction hub link in the subway project, the progress of the track laying project is always faced with the influence of multi-process cross-operation factors. The second is to strengthen the management of “green construction”. In view of the reality that the project is located in the busy city of Jimei District and the traffic is difficult to ease, it specially introduces new energy track laying machines, electric rail welding machines and other advanced equipment in the industry to minimize noise pollution and exhaust emissions.

The third is to fully implement the concept of “construction as operation”, fully consider the daily maintenance and operation comfort requirements during the line operation stage, start from the source of track laying construction, and rely on advanced “CPIII precision measurement system” and “Leica total station” The engineering management system and equipment are well controlled for accuracy, and special and combined equipment such as wool cutting machines, rail cars, and new energy track laying machines are used to realize mechanized operations and improve construction efficiency.
