The track laying length of the entire second phase of Shenzhen Metro Line 12 is 19.54km. The main line adopts a prefabricated track structure, and the prefabricated panels are factory-based and centralized production. Compared with the cast-in-place track bed technology, it has high construction precision, mechanized rapid installation, flexible construction organization, and reduced costs. It can effectively improve construction efficiency and reduce operation and maintenance costs due to its advantages such as dependence on track wells and simultaneous multi-work point operations.

The second phase of Shenzhen Metro Line 12 starts from the first phase of Haitianyuan East Station and ends at Songgang Station. The line length is 8.05km, with a total of 6 stations, 6 sections and 1 Dongbao River parking lot.

On April 7, 2024, the second-phase track project of Shenzhen Metro Line 12 successfully passed the acceptance of the first piece of general vibration-absorbing prefabricated track bed slabs, marking that the second-phase track project of Shenzhen Metro Line 12 has officially entered the comprehensive construction stage.
