According to the relevant requirements of the group company, the turnouts to be replaced this time have reached the turnout overhaul cycle requirements by the end of 2022. Moreover, the Shuohuang Railway is a heavy-duty railway. Under the transportation mode of large-volume, large-axle weight and high-density, the turnout rails and turnout sleepers in the throat area are more prone to fatigue damage. These defects affect the normal operation of the line and may endanger driving safety in serious cases. Therefore, it is necessary to overhaul and rectify them.
At the same time, in order to adapt to the large-volume, large-axle weight and 20,000-ton train operation of Shuohuang, improve the safety reserve of turnout equipment, reduce the workload of maintenance and repair, reduce the type of turnouts and compress the turnout material reserve, so that Shenhua Group’s heavy-duty scientific and technological innovation projects can be promoted and applied in time on the Shuohuang Railway, the throat turnouts of Shenchi South Station are replaced with the newly developed 75kg/m rail No. 12 single-opening turnouts (Drawing No.: Yanxian 1116). When replacing the turnout, the signal is changed accordingly, and after the transformation, the conditions for mechanical cleaning of the turnout are met.
The Shuohuang Railway Yuanping Branch’s Shuohuang Railway 2023 Sixth Batch of Major and Medium Repair Project 1 Section Project has been approved for construction by the State Merchants Group. The project construction unit is China Railway First Bureau Group Co., Ltd. Shuohuang Railway 2023 Sixth Batch of Major and Medium Repair Project Open Tender Yuanping Company’s Turnout Group Replacement Project Management Department, and the construction funds have been secured. Entrusted by China Railway First Bureau Group Xinyun Engineering Co., Ltd., the Shuohuang Railway 2023 Sixth Batch of Major and Medium Repair Project Open Tender Yuanping Company’s Turnout Group Replacement Project Management Department of China Railway First Bureau Group Co., Ltd. organized the procurement of rubber pads required for the project construction.
The main construction content of the contract: In 2023, Shenchi South Station will replace 61 sets of turnouts in groups, including 38 sets of 12-way single-opening turnouts with concrete sleepers and 60kg/m rails, which will be replaced from special line 4249 to Yanxian 1116; 8 sets of 12-way single-opening turnouts with concrete sleepers and 75kg/m rails will be replaced from SC559 to Yanxian 1116; 3 sets of 12-way crossovers with 5.0m spacing (each set of crossovers is counted as 5 sets of single-opening) with concrete sleepers and 60kg/m rails will be replaced, and the special lines 7623-7627 (5.0m line spacing crossovers) will be replaced with Yanxian 1116JD5.0P (5.0m line spacing crossovers). Replace the front and rear guide rails of the turnouts, 2.037km of 75kg/m turnout lines; 0.4875km of 60kg/m turnout lines; 0.4375km of 75kg/m-60kg/m special-shaped rails. And related supporting construction of signal engineering, adjustment of contact network equipment to meet standards and other projects.
