The Chengdu Metro Line 17 project is the first rail transit project of China Communications Construction Corporation that integrates investment and financing, design, construction, operation management and maintenance. The line has a maximum speed of 140 kilometers per hour, which is one of the fastest subway lines in China. To ensure high-speed operation requirements, the entire Chengdu Metro Line 17 adopts a double-block sleeper integral ballast, which is widely used in high-speed rail track construction at home and abroad. The Second Highway Bureau Railway Company undertook the construction of the entire line track engineering task.

The project improved the concrete pouring equipment in the field area in combination with the special terrain conditions of the inner wall roadbed and column roadbed of the vehicle depot and parking lot. The wheels of the pouring trolley were changed from car wheels to train wheels, which not only reduced the weight of the vehicle itself and reduced the occupied space, but also met the requirements for roadbed pouring.
Innovative roadbed cross slope control tool
The overall roadbed slope is a 3% herringbone slope. In order to ensure the slope accuracy of the roadbed, the project developed a “herringbone” steel frame slope control tool, which ensured the slope rate, improved the finishing effect, and improved the construction efficiency, and obtained a national utility model patent.
