Brdige Deck Steel Manufacture for Jiangnao Railway Second Extension Project
In 2025, Anyang Railway Equipment Co., Ltd. provided 1,380,982 tons of bridge deck steel for the Jiangnao Railway Second Extension Project.
The Jiangnao Railway is located in Changji Hui Autonomous Prefecture and Hami City, Xinjiang. It runs from Jiangjunmiao Station on the Wujiang Railway in the west to Naomaohu Station on the Hongnao Railway in the east. Since its opening on January 15, 2024, the Jiangnao Railway has transported approximately 12.252 million tons of coal.
To further enhance the export capacity of Xinjiang coal, construction of a second line of the Jiangnao Railway commenced in September 2023. In February 2025, the China Railway Corporation, in conjunction with the Linha Railway backbone corridor construction plan, completed the preliminary design optimization for the Jiangnao Railway second line. The project plans to build 392 kilometers of new line and renovate and expand 13 stations. It is a crucial infrastructure for the development of the Zhundong, Santanghu, and Naomaohu mining areas. To date, all three pre-station project offices and 10 pre-station work areas along the entire construction section have been completed and put into operation. The Jiangnao Railway Second Extension Project plans to renovate five stations into stations capable of handling 10,000-ton trains. Upon completion, the Jiangnao Railway Second Extension Project will facilitate more flexible and efficient coal transportation out of Xinjiang.
Located in the Xinjiang Uyghur Autonomous Region, Section 3 of the Jiangnao Railway Second Extension Project is part of the Jiangnao Railway Second Extension Project. The project completed its preliminary design optimization in April 2025 and plans to build 392 kilometers of new line and renovate and expand 13 stations, aiming to improve transportation capacity in the Zhundong, Santanghu, and Naomaohu mining areas.
The Xinjiang Communications Construction Group Co., Ltd. Jiangnao Railway Second Extension Project Section 3 Project Management Department procured 1,380,982 tons of bridge deck steel.
