Urumqi Metro Line 2 is a metro line currently under construction in Urumqi, Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region, China. Its designated color is green. Construction began on November 11, 2015; the main structure of the northern section of Phase I was completed in 2023; and the northern section of Phase I (Huashan Street to Nanmen) is expected to be completed and accepted in December 2026.
Urumqi Metro Line 2 runs from Yan’an Road Station in the south to Huashan Street Station in the north, passing through the Tianshan District, Shayibak District, and Xinshi District. It is an L-shaped backbone line along the city’s main axis.
