Anyang Railway Equipment Co., Ltd. provided guard rail fasteners, rail joint bars, insulated gauge tie rods and other products for the Qinghai-Tibet Railway.
The permafrost on the plateau can be called the “killer” of the plateau railway. The construction of railways in permafrost regions has always been a worldwide engineering problem. The Qinghai-Tibet Plateau has the highest elevation and largest area of permafrost in the middle and low latitudes in the world. Qinghai-Tibet #Railway is a National Railway Class I railway connecting Xining City in Qinghai Province to Lhasa City in Tibet Autonomous Region, the total length is 1956km, it is the first railway to the hinterland of Tibet, and it is also the plateau railway with the highest altitude and the longest line in the world.
The Qinghai-Tibet railway will pass through 550 kilometers of permafrost. In order to solve the “frozen soil” problem, the railway builders actively explore new ideas, established the design ideas of active cooling, cooling the foundation, and protecting the frozen soil, as well as insisted on scientific research and experiment first. Adopting a complete set of frozen soil technical measures mainly consisting of rubble air-cooled roadbed, gravel (slabstone) slope protection or road protection, ventilation pipes, hot rods, and bridges crossing special unfavorable frozen soil sections, etc., enriching the frozen soil design theory and technical measures, it has improved the quality of permafrost railway construction. With the smooth completion of permafrost roadbeds, bridges in permafrost areas, culverts, tunnels, housing construction, pipelines and other projects, the Qinghai-tibet Railway has been hailed as the “World Permafrost Engineering Museum”.
Anyang Railway Equipment Co., Ltd. provided guard rail fasteners, rail joint bars, insulated gauge tie rods and other products for the Qinghai-Tibet Railway.
The Qinghai-Tibet Railway has been operating well since its opening to traffic on July 1, 2006. The operating speed of the Qinghai-Tibet Railway is 140km/h (Xining to Golmud section) and 100km/h (Golmud to Lhasa section). The latest statistics show that the quality pass rate of the Gela section is 100%, the excellent rate is more than 90%, and the driving speed in the permafrost area reaches 100 kilometers per hour, creating a new level of permafrost railway operating speed in the world.
