As of February 2021, Wuhan Metro Line 3 generally runs from northeast to southwest, starting from Hongtu Avenue Station in Dongxihu District in the northeast, passing through Jiangan District, Jianghan District, Qiaokou District, and Hanyang District, and ending at Zhuanyang Avenue Station in Caidian District in the southwest.
As of February 2021, Wuhan Metro Line 3 has a total length of 30 km, all of which are underground lines; a total of 24 stations, all of which are underground stations; the design speed of the train is 80 km/h, using 6-car grouping B-type trains.
