Rail Fastening System for New Karamay-Tacheng Railway Project

The Keta Railway (Karamay-Tacheng Railway) is a branch railway of the Kuibei Railway of the Xinjiang Railway Network of the national railway network, with a total length of 308 km. The estimated total investment of this railway is 5.2 billion Yuan. The main project was completed at the end of 2016. The first phase of the project was completed in June 2017. The second phase of the project started in December 2016 and opened to traffic in May 2019. After opening to traffic, the annual transportation volume will reach 10.42 million tons in the near future and 15 million tons in the long-term.
On September 11, 2018, in Karamay, Xinjiang, the first phase of the new railway line from Karamay to Tacheng began to lay tracks, marking the end of this history in Tacheng, the capital of Xinjiang, the only prefecture with no railway access. It is understood that the Keta Railway has a total length of 272.79 km and a total investment of 4.669 billion Yuan. The first phase of the project runs from Karamay to Tiechanggou Town, with a total length of 99.67 km. The construction of Keta Railway can be called a major project of benefiting the people. On May 30, 2019, the Keta Railway was officially opened for operation, ending the history of the last prefecture capital of Xinjiang, Tacheng City, which had no train access.
