Rail Fastening Systems for Nariobi-Malaba Railway Project in Kenya

Nariobi-Malaba Railway, the full name of "Nairobi-Malaba Standard Gauge Railway", is a passenger and freight railroad connecting Nairobi County and Busia County, Republic of Kenya.
Nariobi-Malaba Railway was assisted by China Communications Construction Group to construct in accordance with National Railway Class I standards, Anyang Railway Equipment Co., Ltd(AT) provided P50 spring clip fastening systems, guard rail fasteners, bridge sleeper guard rail fasteners, shuttles and other railway equipment for the project.
The Nei-Ma Railway is the flagship project of Kenya's 2030 vision and the second section of the East African Railway network. The Nei-Ma Railway starts from Nairobi South Station in the East and ends at Malaba Station in the West. The length of entire line is 487.5km and will be constructed in three phases.
Nei-Ma Railway held a groundbreaking ceremony on October 20, 2016. On October 16, 2019, the first phase of the Nei-Ma Railway was opened to traffic; on December 17, 2019, the first phase of the Nei-Ma Railway was opened to traffic. The length of main line of the first phase of the Nei-Ma Railway is 120.4km/hour. The passenger transport design and operating speed are both 120km/hour, and the freight design and operating speed are both 80km/hour.
