Xi'an Metro is an urban rail transit system serving Xi'an City, Shaanxi Province, China. Its first line, Xi'an Metro Line 2, opened for trial operation on September 16, 2011, making Xi'an the 14th in Mainland China. It is the first city in Northwest China to open a subway. As of June 2023, there are 9 subway lines in operation in Xi'an, with an operating mileage of 301 kilometers; a total of 187 stations, including 19 transfer stations.
