Features for Railway Rail Fasteners for Reinforced Concrete Sleepers

The features of the working conditions of Railway Rail Fasteners for Reinforced Concrete Sub-rail Bases are as follows:

- the area for the transfer of pressure from the rail to the concrete is quite sufficient for the perception of this pressure, its development by linings is not required;
- the rails can be tilted by tilting concrete beds for rails;
- reinforced concrete is sufficiently electrically conductive, so rails, if they serve as electrical circuits, should be isolated from their base;
- a track with a reinforced concrete sub-rail base has high rigidity even in summer, if the fasteners do not provide the necessary elasticity. In this case, the vertical modulus of elasticity of the rail base U, instead of the optimal one, can reach an average of 1960 MPa in summer and up to 4900 MPa in winter. On slabs, these modulus values can be significantly higher.
Railway Rail Fasteners for Reinforced Concrete Sleepers can be both lining and non-lining, since reinforced concrete has increased strength.

A typical separate terminal-bolt fastening has been working in the main track for more than 50 years. In such a fastening, the rail is pressed against the lining with two rigid terminals, and the lining is attached to the sleeper with two embedded bolts. The flat metal lining is laid on an inclined, 15-25 mm deepened in the sleeper under the rail platform. On the concrete under the lining there is an elastic electro- and vibration-insulating rubber.
